I heard about the Mushidori on Kodoku no Gurume and had to try this chicken with bones you can eat. It was delicious. I also tried the Moutakutoh spare rib which was actually spicy and also delicious. One caveat is that even for one person, unless you come right at opening you’ll need a reservation. They also do not answer the phone during business hours(you could hear it ringing continuously), so advised me to call around 9−10am if I wanted to make a reservation. Also, they only take cash.

I don’t know very many lunch spots that have people lined up 15 minutes prior to open… and this is one of those locations. Shanway offers 3 types of lunches everyday for only 890yen plus a very diverse salad bar with fruits, hots spicy pasta, seaweed, boiled bean sprouts, broccoli, Korean seasoned cucumbers and the list goes on… plus seconds are free on both the salad and rice. During lunch you will hear most people cal out«B». Its a incredibly tender chicken leg that has been stewed to juiciness… topped with some green vegetables and garlic chips. It will definitely impress you. There is a dedicated young chef, a super friendly water and a heavy set guy that seems to be the assistant chef. They are all Japanese. The interior is not Chinese at all. Seems there once was an European restaurant that occupied this space. Anyways if you are in the area just go! But there is always a line from 11:15am to last order around 2:30pm. Well worth it~
