Royal Host at its best. Fast service, plenty of seating(nice place for group dinners), good food, and interesting seasonal offerings. I usually stick with my classic favorites like Steak or the Hotcakes, but I recently tried the Grilled Chicken which was quite delicious. Prices are decent, and the dessert menu here is often overlooked. Their ice cream deals are comparable so specialty shops in the area, and sometimes even cheaper! Nice view of the Dogenzaka slope, too.

After a long entertaining night in Roppongi and some back hurting restless sleep in Shinjuku, the next mission was to find a place for breakfast/brunch in Shibuya. As we cross the famous Shibuya crossing and pass numerous restaurants that don’t open till 1100, I see the sign for Royal Host. Open at 0900! Win! We make our climb to the 3rd floor to a nice restaurant. Half full at the time. Most had suit cases/luggage. We were greeted pleasantly and seated. Menu was American diner style breakfast. I ordered the least typical diner entrée, the morning curry. Comes with rice and sunny side up egg. Delicious! The curry had just enough spice to make my day and not overpowering for a breakfast meal. Wash it down with some hot cohi/coffee. Nice experience! Will be back if in the area.
