Terrible, and strange service. Thankfully very uncommon in Tokyo. Non-smoking area still smelt of smoke. There are plenty of nicer places nearby, go enjoy them instead!

The place is very cozy and cute, I love it ! The entire place smells like tobacco which I hate, and the food isn’t yummy at all. The staffs here are also not very friendly… I am a bit disappointed.

This is a special place because the coffee part belongs to Katsu-san’s iconic bear pond in Shimokitazawa. They have learned well from the«master» and the latte was of decent quality. Not quite the same, but still good. I went for lunch and had a vey tasty avocado burger with a Brooklin Lager. I would definitely recommend it.

The good: the coffee is absolutely fantastic and the food is good, American diner-style classics. The bad: the service is awful… which is so rare in Tokyo, but… it’s just incredibly bad. And they enforce stupid rules like each diner has to order a drink(no, really). So, three stars. If you can look past the«trying too hard to be hipsters and not hard enough to be waiters/waitresses» staff, it’s not a bad place!

So On the Corner is two things, an American-style diner with Bear Pond Espresso beans. Bear Pond Espresso takes the front half, and has a small little area where you can drink your coffee if you don’t want to sit down and eat. The diner serves Bear Pond lattes so you can drink it at any table as well. The diner itself is very cute, with retro chairs small booths that fit only two people. With that being said, the food is very sub-par and bland, as is the case with most American diner’s in Tokyo. I’ve gotten the pizza, curry, eggs, toast, crêpe’s on the menu and they are all incredibly meh. It’s not bad per say, but its not good you know? When I needed to study and smoke a cigarette with delicious coffee, On the Corner is the number one café in Tokyo– but if you can save your money and find another place to eat, I wholeheartedly recommend doing so. Open late, which is a plus and located close to exit 13 by Shibuya station and Miyashita Koen. Coffee-5 Stars Food– 3

On The Corner is just like an American-style diner you’ll find on the corner in the streets of New York. I guess the name is rather fitting. This is a great place to go when you trying to look for a quieter place for coffee and a salad in Shibuya. A little hidden and situated away from the busier parts of Shibuya, there is always a seat available. Whenever I crave for a more contemporary and western environment instead of a Japanese set lunch, I will come to On The Corner for a big caesar salad and a beer. I would much prefer it they band smoking or at least have a proper section for the chain-smokers… The biggest treat here rather is the No. 8 Bear Pond coffee at the front of the shop for those who likes to grab a cappucino or latter on the run.
