Note: This review will be for the coffee shop, and the review for Nico and… People will be on its separate business page. Free Wifi, plenty of outlets, lots of plants and bookshelves! What else can you look for if you’re a digital nomad? «Nico and… Coffee» is the coffee shop located inside Shibuya’s cool Retail & Interior Shop«Nico and… Tokyo». The first thing you’ll notice is the huge community tables loaded with outlets on every seat. There’s also a counter behind it, also loaded with outlets, and a sofa section. The interior along with the retail section has a very Oregon/Portland feel to it. Bookshelves on the wall, 3 hour bike rentals for 1000 yen, plenty of plants, fashion magazines and fairy lights on the ceiling. Right outside the window Highway 246, but inside the coffee shop is a totally different atmosphere. They also have a long bench right outside the building. I ordered an iced caramel latte and didn’t think it was anything special. But as for the atmosphere and practicality as a working-space has me sold. They also tied up with a famous softcream company, so maybe next time, I’ll order premium softcream instead.

On the way from Shibuya station to the Harajuku area, we came up on Niko and…, a store I remembered reading about online. Imagine a higher-end Urban Outfitters. Very similar woodsy décor. We sat down at the café, on a large communal table, and got a marron cake and chocolate chip smoothie. Both were deliciously refreshing! There were also outlets and wifi! Do note that the couches and table in front of the café serve as seating. The seating further in is more of a display — do not sit on the woodsy décor items.

Popped in after a long day of being on my feet. Thank god there were seats. This is located on the 1st floor of a rather large multi-level lifestyle store. there is a giant communal table and couch seating. It was hot out so I succumbed to temptation and got one of their limited time drinks– a macadamia nut chocolate blended coffee. Quite delicious, if on the sweet side. I also got a banana walnut muffin as I planned to sit for a while. The muffin was quite airy, not sure if I loved it. Service is as per usual but what’s nice about this place is the availability of outlets with which to charge your electronics! Yay for table chargers!
