Great coffee, fragrance of fresh baked breads and pastries abound. Very nice, off the beat and path neighborhood. We got the french toast breakfast pairing and the toast breakfast pairing. Both great and not too sweet. The cappuccino was superb.

Bread, Espresso & is an adorable café in Omotesando. I’ve ended up here on my last two trips to Tokyo and will likely come here again. Both times, I’ve ordered the same thing — the french toast(served with honey, not syrup) and an iced cappuccino. The french toast is really more like a bread pudding and is very decadent. The cappuccino was delicious and frothy. Our breakfast for two cost about $ 20USD. One small issue I had was that I didn’t know you were required to order both a food item and a drink, so if you only want bread, order it to go. They have a few shelves of freshly baked carbs and a fridge with some other food and drink options as well. It’s not great for large groups, so don’t come here if you have a group larger than 4 people. It’s fairly close to Omotesando station and yes, they accept credit cards.

A bread store and café under the same room. So I keep repleting my complaint about the lack of breakfast places in Tokyo. So few restaurants are open in the morning. As I was searching for a breakfast option in Omotesando/Gaien-mae area, I came keep going back to Bread, Esspresso, &. They offer a pretty good«morning set». My favorite is Set C, which includes their famous french toast and a drink for 700 Yen. I know, I know, that is quite expensive for a breakfast. I totally agree, but tell me a better alternative! The only disappointment was that their french toast did not come inside a hot iron skillet. When I had this dish as an afternoon snack, it came on a skillet, but I guess they go cheap with paper container during breakfast hours. This is only a minor disappointment. Esspresso: Very good quality. Smoking: I think the entire store is non-smoking. Outdoor seating: Yes! They have a couple of patio tables. Breakfast Cost: 700 Yen. P. S. A really funny thing happened at breakfast. I was enjoying this soft and delicious french toast by my self at a counter seat. My eye met with a young lady sitting at a table. She made a stunning expression as to say, «Hey, OMG, great to see you here!» She even waved at me. Immediately, sweat was running down my forehead as I was desperately working my brain out to figure out who she is. Where did I meet her? What is her name? To be polite, I slowly walked over to her table. I failed to remember her as I reached her table. Well, we exchanged our names and realized that we do not know each other. Awkward. Super awkward.

The system of this place is bit odd, you né to order at least one drink, I just wanted to have bread but that was not possible. Why can’t they write it on the board in front of the door? Besides that, only 1 food menu was available because all others are sold out! Please state it so I didn’t bother to get in… HOWEVER, panini and espresso are actually very tasty, I am very impressed by the quality of bread with reasonable price.

The french toast here is to die for! In fact, it’s not just the french toast, everything else here is hard to resist. Yes, «Bread, Expresso &» does sound a little weird but I asure you in Japanese it does sound cute. This is an eat in bakery where you can order a bread lunch set where you can choose a few types of bread with a drink, panini sets(a panini, a choice of bread plus a drink) and a salad lunch set(a large bowl of salad, a choice of bread and a drink). I love the paninis here but I high recommend the french toast. They let the homemade bread soak in milk and eggs overnight. It is lightly cooked on the pan before going in the over for 15 mins. Just on it’s ow n, it’s fluffy and milky like a pudding but it’s even better with their organic honey. The perfect afternoon treat with a coffee or ice tea.
