Went here one time. Standard American fare — burgers and fries. Very Tasty burger and their fries were very good also.
Atmosphere is very casual and staff is nice.
If you are looking for American style food in Shimo-kita, this is a good place to drop by.

Village Vanguard Diner is an American-style burger joint with a friendly staff and laid back vibe. Their burgers are all cooked medium well and you can get a side of fries for 100yen I believe. Their fries are delicious! Their onion rings are some of the best I’ve ever had, too.
I ordered the Avocado Laver Burger which was different but definitely tasty. They place half of an avocado on the patty, and they use a sauce which is a combination of Japanese mustard and mayo, if my memory serves me right. The burger is juicy so you may want to utilize the burger bag they provide for you, it’s a little bag you can slide your burger in so you don’t have to get your fingers dirty and the bag will catch all of the juice/sauce that drips out.
My friend and I were a little shocked to learn that they charge 380yen for a regular size cup of soda. Maybe we’re too used to the American way, where soda is cheap and you can get unlimited refills.
