English & 中文。I sometimes work at the English school next to this shop and I must say the smell permeates the English school and so after smelling the curry extravaganza, I decided to sample said curry and here’s my review. AWESOMENESS. I went into the shop and the décor is colorful. You see locals coming in and out of the shop at lunch time and the Indian staff speaking Japanese and thank god for me, English. Well… At least some of the staff(^_^*) the menus are written in Japanese and English so you won’t have to practice how to say aloo gobi and sag paneer in Japanese although you’ll be a native speaker by the time you’re done in Hindi and Japanese haha. I asked if they had wifi and then the waiter says yes and gives me his phone hotspot wifi to use. That’s a first! Most places would just say nai. Sumimasen then smile at you annoyingly(ー ー;) 。。oh Japan。(~_~;;) I loved seeing the mother and little kid in the shop waiting for their curry. The couple sitting down as they eat and chat. Saturday mornings are a good day to go and see this. Totally a comfortable feeling in this shop. Indian food is my second favorite food next to Mexican so when I try Indian I’m very picky after my many samplings in New York and California. This was delicious. I ordered from the lunch menu. It came with two choices of curry, rice, jumbo nan, a salad, chicken tikka and a mango lassi, all for 950 yen… Wow. Cheap. I was wondering if they were giving me free food or if when they saw me taking pictures of the place they thought I was a Unilocaler :-) The lamb curry was pretty good. The spinach chicken curry was excellent. The mango lassi could have been thicker like shops in America but still hit the spot. The chicken tikka was amazing. Spiced perfectly. The rice was rice *shrug* and the Japanese salad was tasty. The nan was the so big you’d think it had implants and was heading to holywood ;) They give you great service too. Polite and with that irashaimase feel you’re so used to in Japan. I wish I had a Japanese girlfriend to go with 。・°°・(>_<)・°°・。Yes they try to cover all curries by including Thai curry in there. I don’t know how the Thai curry would be but Nepalese, Indian and Pakistani curries as I’ve noticed from my Indian food outings in Berkeley California usually have similar dishes and blend well together in these establishments. Great place to eat. Was impressed with the service. Would definitely go back for seconds。。
