Still so good. My relatives take me each time I visit Japan.
You need to be there well before 11 if you don’t have a reservation, but you can make a reservation if you have a party of 4 or more.
It has the best sushi for the price in Tokyo, in my opinion. So much better than places I’ve tried in Tsukiji, for the fraction of the price. Price of those fast food ipad sushi places in Tokyo, but actual quality sushi. It’s not delicate but it’s delicious! The environment is loud and fast so it’s definitely not a romantic date spot haha. There are various ‘combo sets’, and you can get around 12 pieces for 2000 yen with ankimo (monkfish liver), chawanmushi (steamed egg dish), miso soup with fatty fish pieces, and crab gut salad (tastes better than it sounds).
Great place if you have a big appetite as well!

The original Midori Sushi is one of my favorite places for some quality sushi. The seafood is fresh and they are very generous with the portions. You can order individual pieces, omakase sets, chirashi sushi or sashimi. They also have a variety of rolls, which is hard to find in Tokyo. It’s located in a quaint neighborhood with a very local vibe so you can enjoy a nice stroll afterwards. Please read my tip below for more information.
