You’ll travel the world and you’ll find a meal as simple as the one you find at Yudofuya; there, you’ll feel a deep satisfaction and connection to nature. This contemplation is a key experience of dining in Japan, and is the key ingredient in an experience at Yudofuya. It’s hard to find Yudofuya if you can’t read the signage or speak the language — especially after working your way through the throngs of oglers at the Ryoanji Temple — but please find this place. It is a nirvana for a vegetarian. And the grounds seen from your seating will be memorable. I was there in the spring, and it was a top three all-time meal. Get whatever they serve you, you can be confident that it’s all vegetarian, and just enjoy it.
