Utsukushi-​gozen Shrine 美御前社 is a small Shrine inside Yasaka Shrine 八坂神社.
There are so many different shrines in Kyoto that people can ask for all kind of blessing. Here at Utsukushi-​gozen, women comes asking for beauty. They have some magic water that you can just put a few drop on your face and will help with the condition of your skin.
That afternoon when we were here, there were quite some young girls in kimono praying at the shrine. And I think my sister did the same when I was not looking…
