Delicious ramen. English menu available. It was a little hard to find though because its sign is in Japanese only.

The recommended set was excellent. The sauces at the table help you spice your gyoza just the way you like it.

Probably the best bowl of plain tonkotsu ramen I’ve had during my trip. Good chashu, firm noodles and a very tasty broth, without being too heavy.

My favourite meal in Japan? Quite possibly.(But I did have some great dumplings) My favourite ramen in Japan? Without a doubt! This place is small, authentic feeling and awesome. Set up appears to be mother, son and grandmother. Mum does the tables, son does the noodles and gran does the ramen broth and meat. Ok I have no idea if they were related, but that’s how it felt to me. You sit facing the cooking and watch it all being made with masterful skill which is really cool. Then you taste the ramen and you want to cry tears of joy, but your not finished there. An array of different toppings are on offer. Sit and add spice, sauce, corn, etc. it’s like you can keep reinventing your meal over and over. I live this place… I mean love. Actually I want to live in this place eating ramen every day as I love it so much. Looking fir somewhere to eat? Stop reading this review and go now!!!

Just arrived to Kyoto(from Los Angeles) and was starving for some good ramen. Found this place on Unilocal, very close to our hotel. Even at 2am in a Monday there were a good number of diners. They sat us at a communal table so I’ve watched the locals slurped down their noodles and soup in less than two minutes. Crazy!!! It was like watching an eating contest. The ramen was so darn tasty and reasonably priced. Will be back soon.

I don’t usually turn to ramen for a meal, because it’s usually not enough but a good friend from out of town came, and said that a certain Japanese star had endorsed this place a while back so for old times sake… Definitely impressed. I always bike past this place, getting a good whiff of the soup stock on my way to wherever I was headed. There’s actually more seating than I realized. They have some counter seats, roughly 7, but also have a side room with small tables. The menu is simple, with ramen starting at 600, and a chashu option at 750– cheap, affordable. There are other add-ons, such as kimchi, bamboo, etc. The bowl of ramen they throw at you is, I think, an incredible portion for the price. The amount of chashu was also astonishing and pleasantly surprising. The chashu is a good mix of lean and oily and the soup isn’t too thick. There’s a slight spice to it as it comes with a dash of shichimi. The location is super convenient for anyone’s who’s been drinking in the area, and accessible from multiple subway/bus stops. My friend and I found the speed at which other customers swallowed their ramen jaw-dropping. Will definitely be back for more ramen. ^^ ***for those of you who don’t read Japanese, they have a convenient picture menu for ya’ll ***
