Just visited this place.(4÷25÷15) first impression wasn’t the best I entered and was told in somewhat English that they were full and kind of shoo’d away. Confused I turned to my husband, who was born and raised in Japan, and said they were full can you double check. They said to him they could take our number and call when there’s a seat, just as we were giving them our number some customers walked out. I really didn’t get the fact that we couldn’t just wait. I would of been fine with that. They could of easily lost us as a customer completely. Not sure if it was because I’m a foreigner or what but I didn’t get the best treatment in the beginning only after my husband spoke to them. The food was delicious but I would easily say this place is not foreign friendly. I specifically searched for a vegetarian curry place because I knew it was impossible to walk into any normal place and expect to find veggie only curry. Sad this think that one of the few places in Kyoto that’s vegetarian isn’t really friendly. Though when inside they had nothing but English music on and the menu had English translation… Maybe one person working there could be a little nicer to foreigners. Give it a try, but don’t expect to be able to eat when you walk in. 2stars only for the food. Better service would change to 4stars

I loved eating dinner here! My boyfriend and I live in Tokyo, and although we have a lot of vegetarian food available, we hadn’t been to a place with so many different flavors for veggie burgers! The burgers were kind of small, especially for the price, and although the meal was still filling for me, my boyfriend didn’t feel the same way. But really, everything was delicious! We also tried the onion rings which were wonderful as well. I’m pretty sure the staff can speak English if you need it. Interesting atmosphere, and although it was a bar, it was non-smoking and not rowdy at all. Would highly recommend, especially for vegetarians !
