I love the products of 31 Sons de mode! Lovely but elegant. This cloth store didn’t advance into Kyoto. It’s the first place where I can get this brand’s clothes!
I usually pick up this place as a meeting spot because of remarkable construction and good location. You can connect to here by Hankyu rail train or some buses, and it’s close to Gion, Kiyamachi, Kawaramashi so it’s great to meet here and go somewhere like café or shopping…

It is constructed on the site where Hankyu Dept. stood. Neighboring to Takashimaya, I don’t think they compete with each other. This is because Marui deals in the goods of more casual lines mainly targeted for the youth. On the other hand, Takashimaya is for customers of various ages.
Here in Marui, I looked for a hair accessory to make my hair set. My hair is short and naturally curling. As in rainy days, it always swells badly, I want to bind my hair. So I came here to buy proper one. It provides hair accessories on the first floor, which cost approximately 10,000 yen. Very pricy! I couldn’t afford buying a hair accessory alone. The reason why its cost was so high is that it is made of many suwarohusukis I hesitated to buy one and asked the female stuff if they sell more affordable ones. She replied to me, «There is no product here. But if you go to the shop near here, you will find the ones under 2000 yen.» She told me the name of the shop. I thought she was a trustworthy sales stuff so as to give me the information of the other shop instead. Doing such a thing was not beneficial for her at all. But she has a high hospitability to be useful not for her shop but for a prospective customer. I am really gratitude to her. Next time I do want to buy something at her shop.
