When I was passing through the famous popular cafes of Tsujiri and Marl Branche, I almost cried out. There were long lines in front of the cafes. To the contrary there was no one waiting to have a seat here, although this café is also nice! I think it has some reasons. It is located in the corner, inconspicuous place of Kyoto station building and becomes a hideout. The isles are narrow and the seats(around 50 or so) are not comfortable to have. As soon as I finish, I would like to go out. From its outside cute and childish appearance with bee illustration and inside atmosphere like a fast-food restaurant you hesitate to enter the café. Don’t worry about that!! Customers are not only young women but also middle-aged or elderly women. Anyway this café provides various kinds of waffles, light meals such as quiche, salad, or brioche, soft cream and drinks. Takeout is also available. If you have a seat in the café, the waffle costs at least 500 yen as plain one. I thought it a little pricy. So I ordered the simplest plain one and tea. Both of them were within 850 yen or so. At first I hesitated to have a waffle which can be cooked easily at home. However the waffle here came out crispy and was beyond my expectation. I cannot cook this at home. Take-out is OK, but you had better eat one as soon as possible after grilled. If you bring one back home and warm it again, it is difficult to make such a crispy waffle!
