Long wait, about 30 minutes outside. Sliding door let’s you peek in to see if there are any open bar seats. No staffer will come to tell you to come in. So it’s more like, if you see two people leave, then assume that two people can go in. Highly recommend you bring a Japanese speaker with you as this is not really tourist friendly. However, it is certainly tourist friendly in the sense that everyone is happy to help you and make the effort to speak English. I say the above because the menu is ever changing and it listed up on the wall on little wooden tablets with Japanese characters. The English menu is just a handful of dishes that they prepare, many of which are not currently available or not in season. Plus, this menu is missing the majority of dishes that are listed up on the wall. So in short, you won’t be able to order much without help. We were able to order chutoro(semi-fatty tuna) sashimi, fried oysters, vegetable tempura, lobster tempura, seared albacore. Sapporo seemed to be the only beer option and then there was a house lower grade sake served warm. Really fun experience especially since it is more of a local hangout. Total bill was very cheap for what we ordered, around $ 45.
