This was the first time I’d had«tsukemen» ramen. The noodles were cold, so they kept cooling down the soup. It’s definitely a different experience from huffing and puffing at hot ramen noodles. It would be the better choice for the summer, I guess. I liked their chicken-and-fish based soup. I got the«Tokusei», the very top left button on the ticket machine, which cost more than the other basic noodles, so I figured it had all the toppings. Yup, came with«menma» and egg and«cha-shu». The egg was really flavourful! The«cha-shu» looked like it was chicken. The darker meat had a unique flavour, contrasting with the other white meat kind. They had signs up that they use only a special brand(breed?) of chicken and eggs, so check it out if you like that kind of thing. You can also get sides, like extra meat and spiciness(looked like chunky«ra-yu»). What I found cool here were: 1. The«yakiishi». They have pieces of metal(shaped like eggplants) being heated. You ask for one and put your spoon onto the counter. They give you the«stone», which you then put into your soup. It makes a nice simmering noise as it reheats your soup! 2. When you finish the noodles, you put your soup bowl onto the counter and ask for«soup wari». They add clear broth to your original thick soup(which was dipping consistency/flavour) to make it into drinkable soup. 3. They had«homemade fruit vinegar» as a condiment. I put it into my «soup wari» for a exciting new flavour to finish off with! There is paid parking across the street. That ended up costing us 600 yen :(
