This is a ice cream shop that has been here for 102 years. The ice cream is the same as they made it back then. They also roast and brew their own coffee. I had 3 cups of the iced coffee, and 2 of their cookie ice cream. They also had it set at optimal temperature so it melts in your mouth. I guess if you been doing something for 102 years you get the hang of it! :-)

Review is based on the ice cream. Another example of peak Japanese design perfection. Why? The yummy refreshing vanilla ice cream is locked inside a light, wafer, cone-like shell. Hello ice cream sandwich that doesn’t get messy and is as light as a heavenly cloud. We ordered two(one for each of us) and were told to leave unless we ordered four. House rules. No biggie. Fools we were to order two! Shame! The second«shell» was a delicious deja vu.

My friend recommended this place to me and we went together for a quick coffee and ice cream. She said that typically people order ice creams to take to work or to picnics, so it was her first time eating inside the shop. The inside is a small one room, and feels homey and comfortable. You can watch as they pack up ice creams for people who come to the take out window. If you order coffee or tea they serve it in nice teacups. Black coffee goes really well with the ice cream! The ice cream: I’ve never had anything like it! It’s like they took the crunchy shell of another Japanese sweet and then filled it with a icy ice cream(more ice like than milky — hard to explain — the texture is somewhat different). It’s a portable tasty little ice cream treat. Prices were really reasonable too. They have a coffee/tea ice cream set. N
