Costume place with unfriendly staffs On the way of city exploration, I bumped into macho dummy guy with tank top. He looked he was from England but he also liked America, because he wore head band with American flag. I was just interested in what they sell so I checked it out. Wow, this is costume shop with many different kinds, and it didn’t look like party goods shop but looked like more professional one. Each costumes were properly wrapped and hanged. But when I was in a shop, I felt something wired and I noticed shop staff was staring at me with unfriendly attitude. I knew the reason, because these are for ladys, not for men. So I asked her if there’s mens stock and she gave me catalogue with more unfriendly attitude. Hey I just came here to check out what’s happening here! I don’t do costumes and I have never involved in Halloween thing because I just don’t know what to do(It’s only been several year since Halloween become huge in Japan) But I clearly understand costume scene. The scene is basically closed community and if someone new is coming in, they look at you unfriendly. Do they wear costume because they want to hide their personality? If you wear something fun, your heart should be open and fun as well. I don’t think I’ll visit here again. But if you want to be seen professionally in costumes, this is the one you should check out.
