This place recently got 1 Michelin star. I was kind of surprised not many people were waiting in line. They don’t allow pictures inside and I think perhaps the owners wants to keep this place low key. When you arrive the kind lady tells you service will take up to 30 mins. That’s after you order so I’m pretty sure they don’t want a long line and getting people upset. The soba here is really good. I got to try the black and the white soba and while you eat one and the other you will quickly see the difference in texture and taste. If you go during the weekday they give you 3 pieces of sushi that includes squid. At the end of the meal comes an interesting broth that you pour into your soba sauce. You then proceed to drink this which at first I thought was weird. After mixing the sauce it was actually pretty good. The price of soba was about 900 yen. Not too shabby for some delicious soba. I dont know if this is a mom pop shop but the lady and the cook looked like a great team and super sweet. Would love to come back and try other things!
