King Emon Dotonbori

金久右衛門 King Emon is conveniently located at 道頓堀 Dōtonbori. So as a tourist, I ended up walking by it whenever I was in the area.
This Ramen place has won numerous reward for their 關西醬油拉麵 Soy Broth Ramen. Gold, Black and Red Soy? I got a little confused and I am never a fan of Soy soup base.
The process was easy as there was no line up at all the evening we were there. Pick what you want from the ticket vendor machine. I like how here you can get a half size if you just want a snack and the most expensive choice is 800 Yen.
I did enjoy the Gold Soy Broth which has this just the right saltiness and the fragrant of soy sauce. The winner bowl Black Soy base was a little too overwhelming for me. The topping and especially the egg was just so good!
I am glad that I finally try some local ramen from the area. Ramen always a comfort food for me… I just wish I can eat that everyday! But here I can! :)
