Very reasonably priced hotel although a bit far from downtown and nearby shopping area is kind of dead(ATC shopping center). There were a good number of eateries in ATC, just wish there were better gift shops. Décor looks a little old but overall the rooms were perfectly fine and staff was friendly. Since prices are lower, this place is good for leisure stay if you have time to travel between places, just don’t expect modern décor

I just finished a three night stay here April 23. I waited to write this review in hopes that maybe my opinion would soften. It said from one star to two and it was time to share my experience. The hotel is located from downtown Osaka but does offer a convenient transfer shuttle every half hour to the Osaka station and returning on the same Schedule too. The rooms are larger than central hotels such as the Hilton and views are nice too. That’s where my positives ended. Breakfast buffet was just ok and at approx $ 28 used per person per day it left a lot to be desired. When I asked about hot oatmeal I was advised if I didn’t see it they didn’t have it. When I saw a manager the next day her said he would ask. I was told it was extra and a la carte. It was ¥1,426 with tax. Seriously over $ 12 usd for oatmeal over the $ 28. Hilton Osaka made it and there was no extra charge. We were in a group of 25 people from my husbands company. We did a karaōke night. We included drinks. Even alcohol. I asked for a coke zero and was told they only had regular coke and were not therefore able to get me a coke zero, again SERIOUSLY? I can have beer and sake and vodka etc but no coke zero so I had a water, Too many nos and not very customer friendly. It was a big disappointment. I checked out a day early and went back into central Osaka and the Hilton. I use Hyatt and Hilton to get an consistent experience. This Hyatt fell short of that. Had a buffet dinner there too and it was subpar. Feel they are struggling win staffing and overall customer service. If you must stay here I get it. If not I would suggest another property. Too isolated. Not friendly service. The only shining light was Hideki Muramatsu the manager that was there helping them iron out the bugs. He was helpful and truly listened. Lots needs to be addressed to make it worthy to stay at the end of no where.

The Hyatt Regency Osaka isn’t the most convenient hotel to stay at when you are visiting Osaka, but it does offer a fantastic place to stay and some pretty impressive views of the harbor. Its rooms aren’t exactly the most modern but they showcase the 90s era that they were built in. That being said, they are pretty large by Japanese standards and are well laid out with comfortable beds, a nice workspace/seating area, and a very well appointed bathroom. For us «westerners» the toto is always a welcomed touch and don’t be afraid to try it out! The short: the rooms are pretty big and very clean. When it comes to a hotel that is a very good place to stay in my book. Service follows the traditional Japanese custom and offers a truly stellar experience. The staff went above and beyond to assist us with our need to ensure that our stay was pleasant and comfortable. Its location isn’t the most convenient, however they do have an easy connection to the local subway system. the hotel has a convenient shuttle to the nearby station that has connections to the rest of the city. The rooms are starting to show their age and it isn’t the most convenient, however it is incredibly comfortable and offers fantastic service that make it a great choice to stay.
