My friend wanted udon. He got the duck despite comment on a previous review. I would give that 2 stars. Really fatty, near inedible pieces or chewy chunks. Where’s the actual duck meat. There wasn’t a single piece of duck breast. Very oily layer on top. Just as previously stated, worst dish of our entire 13 day stay. Y1080 The egg, fish cake udon was ok. 3 star. Light flavor. Good portion size. The egg was a bit under cooked, very runny inside. Not quite soft boiled. I’m not sure if that’s how it’s supposed to be. More onion than I’d like so I picked out most of it. Came with green tea and water. Y864. I thought it was a bit expensive for what we got. I think that’s what you get for being in a tourist area. No spicy chili powder. Udon noodle is decent. Unable to ask anyone if the noodles are made there as no English speakers. Maybe it’s not made at the restaurant. It’s a clean sit down place. I think the set menu is a better option. Soba is only dipping style.

One of the worst meals I had in Osaka. I had the ducks udon noodles. The udon was okay but the duck was like the end pieces with everything, skin, tendons, and bones but meat! They had basic English and Chines menus but I saw the Japanese menu had a much larger variety! Probably won’t go back as there are much more other options in Dontonburi. Everything was really salty by the way
