Miyama is located right by the Nara Park’s bus stop and on the festive street leading up to Todaiji Temple, so it’s only a turn around the corner from the deer crowd. One of the few clean air-conditioned restaurants in the vicinity, Miyama is a great meal stop to feed yourself after feeding the deer! Miyama specializes in kaiseki type of Japanese cuisine, which is the presentation of many small dishes of various food and material so a meal would be a diverse experience of flavors, and the restaurant does a good job delivering that dining experience. Although the price is somewhat pricy, costing more than 1000 yen per set, I recommend Miyama if you are not planning to venture outside the Todaiji side of Nara Park!
