If you visit Daiya-Gai of Kichijoji around 7 am, you will see a long waiting line(most of the people are sitting on portable chairs). That is the line for Ozasa. Ozasa, femous for its Yokan(Japanese sweets). If you want to buy ones, you have to reach there maybe before 6 am. Limit 3 per person, and 150 are to be sold. Many of the people waiting are there for business use, so they make the line every day. They know each other, and often have a small party while waiting. If you have no guts to get up early, you can still visit Ozasa in the daytime. They also sell monaka, another type of Japanese sweets. You do not need to wait for a long time for monakas. Do not confuse the waiting line for Ozasa and for Sato, yet another famous place for MENCHIKATSU, minced meat croquette, located next to Ozasa.
