It’s a good place, I guess it is the same as a fast food restaurant in the US. The food is nice and so is the service.

I have very fond memories of eating at Yoshinoya with my parents both living in Tokyo as a small child over 30 years ago, and in Los Angeles, CA. So of course in Tokyo, I had to make a stop and relive my memories. Nothing has really changed here. And surprisingly, it’s very similar to the US establishments in terms of food. The only thing different is in the states, they use to serve the food in disposable containers. I haven’t been to a Yoshinoya in the states awhile, so not sure how it is now. But the Japanese establishments use real dishware which is a nice touch. I also don’t remember them having curry in the past, but that could just be my faded memory. The Gyudon and Unagi here are the best items. The vegetable curry was decent. But the classic Gyudon is definitely the winner!

Yoshinoya Japan is pretty much the same as what we have in the U.S. While it isn’t exactly extraordinary, the food was decent. To our surprise the restaurant was full of businessmen eating rice bowls and udon. We ended up taking the food to go. Packaging is much nicer than the U.S. But the condiments are the same(red shoga and togarashi pepper). I’m not sure that I’d go again given all the amazing food options in Japan. But at least now I can say I tried it in Japan!
