A kaiseki style traditional Japanese food restaurant in Mita area. Dinner course is 15,000 Yen(plus tax and service fee). You could eat & drink and leave with 20,000 Yen(based on prices fall of 2015). Not bad for full course omakase kaiseki course. Believe it or not, that is considered«cheap», when compared to many top washoku restaurants in Tokyo, where the course could go for 20,000 to 30,000 Yen without drinks. WASTHEMEALMEMORABLE: Difficult question. If you are traveling from the U.S. and don’t regularly eat Kaiseki meals in Tokyo or Kyoto, then you will likely be highly impressed by the quality of dishes here. For the price, this is a very good bang for the buck. However, if you have experienced other more impressive meals, you might find their dishes less memorable. MYBATTINGAVERAGE: 9 dishes served(including dessert) 1 unforgettable(dessert) 4 dishes highly impressive 3 dishes unmemorable 1 dish not so good CONCLUSION: Hmmm. How do you judge my batting average? Pretty good for 15,000 Yen? It is so hard to draw a conclusion. I been here only twice, but I don’t remember a thing about what I ate on my first visit. Depending on the season, you will get a completely different meal. Is it fair to draw a conclusion based on my latest visit in Nov 2015? SEATING: Half of the restaurant is table seating. These seats are easy to reserve. There are only a limited number of counter seats(around 7). These are competitive, but the best seats in the restaurant. In fact, I would not go back unless I could secure one of these counter seats. RESERVATION: Required. SMOKING: Completely non-smoking.
