Great little soba noodle shop in the Toranimon Hills area of Tokyo. The lunch crowd is mostest workers in the nearby office buildings grabbing lunch. There was a line out the door which screamed to me a good place to grab a bite to eat. I was the only westerner dining there during my brief stay. Most of the noodle dishes were between 300 and 500 Yen, a total bargain. My best tip for people that don’t read Japanese is to look at the pictures of the food outside, take a picture of the food label, then match the characters to the corresponding button on the vending machine to place your order. It was very easy doing this. Once you paid for your food at the vending machine, you give your ticket to the counter where the chefs quickly assemble your meal and give it to you. There are counters, enough to seat about 20 people, but the turnover is fast and even though it was crowded when I visited during the lunch hour, I grabbed a seat right away. My bowl of soba noodles was chilled(which tasted great on a hot summer day) and I would presume they would be hot in the winter months. I ordered a piece of fried tofu and fresh vegetables to top my noodles and they were delicious as well. Am going back for lunch again tomorrow!
