By far the best noodles I’ve had in Tokyo! I’ve been here for about a week and made it a point to try a new place every day. This is the best for taste and price! Highest recommendation for food and ambiance. The set up is amazing.

There is ALWAYS a line, regardless how full the restaurant is. The waiters arent diligent about clearing the tables, maybe on purpose to keep the lines outside the restaurant long. There is an English menu available and you cant go wrong with their classic tonkotsu ramen. Lots of toppings available on the table for you to add to your noodles — garlic, spring onion, etc. Skip the gyoza.

Got here right as they opened at 11am. Sat at the bar. My seat had a compartment for my purse and jacket. The staff handed me a menu in English so it was easy to order, plus there were pictures. I ordered their spicy miso ramen and it came out within minutes. It was delicious. Ippudo, no matter where(NYC or Tokyo) is legit. The meal was about $ 8 which is a really good price for ramen! Cash only.

We decided to come to Ippudo because we’ve been to the famous Ippudo in New York. Now that we’re in Japan, how can we not try it? The place is open late, which is great after an entire day of roaming the city. We only had to wait a few minutes(while they bus the table) before we were quickly seated in the back. It was one large table and everyone shared it. Against the walls, there were baskets in which you can leave your jacket and things. After looking over the English menu, we flagged one of the guy’s down and place our order. In a few minutes our ramen was brought out. I got the Shiromaru Classic Ramen. The broth had lots of flavor. The noodle was perfectly cooked. Even though I thought the portion was a lot, my stomach had not problem eating it all. Only thing I regret was not adding an egg!

My favorite ramen in Tokyo(and pretty much all of Japan)! My friends and I were a little skeptical with Ippudo, since one of us tried the chain in NY(wasn’t very good ramen). We sat at the bar and ordered the most popular ramen. The staff doesn’t speak English well but they are prompt and as helpful as they can. You watch the chefs make the ramen if you sit at the bar, and the excitement builds as you can see and smell the ramen. The ramen was miso based, tender pork, perfectly half cooked egg, seaweed, and perfectly cooked noodles. All for about $ 10USD worth. I would definitely recommend this place!

The new style ramen at the 8 spice level(I tried extra as well and it was on the border line of too spicy to enjoy) was TODIEFOR. Savory, spicy, filling — I’m just totally pissed I can’t get this in the states.

It is ippudo … Nothing to write home about. I love that they have the small bowl of ramen for 500yen but other than that just another ramen shop This branch is a bit too small though ;(

Came in here after hearing that Ichiran and Ippudo were direct competitors! It was pretty empty as it was around 9⁄10 pm, and we were seated in the back– it was like we had our own private room! My friends ordered the special while I got the spicy broth with beef. The ippudo broth was really good, but ichiran’s was better. The noodles were fantastic though! Cooked perfectly with the right amount of chewiness. I love how they have a wide variety of toppings you can add to your ramen. The egg was bomb– Japan really knows how to do their eggs! We also got the gyoza which was yummy. They have ramen sauce which adds saltiness and flavor to the broth as well. Great place to stop by for ramen– Ippudo is everywhere so you can definitely find it at all the big spots.

I really wanted to like this place, but it just turned out to be average. The ramen was generally pretty bland, the noodles seemed old, and just generally not ‘tasty’ from any perspective. The servers are very nice and friendly, any maybe I picked the wrong type of ramen, but it just wasn’t the type of bow which I would want to go and eat again. There was nothing truly wrong with it, but it just seems like I have much higher expectations when I am actually eating ramen in Japan.
