Simply a perfectly balanced burger. I’ve been to the usual’s Hungry Heaven, Blacows, East Village, Kua’aina, 3rd Burger, The Great Burger, Martini Burger, EAT, Hokham, Brozers but Harakara truly had the perfect bun/beef patty balance. The chef takes about 10 – 15 minutes to grill the burger and with one bite it was totally worth the wait. Comment about Ketchup. Sure when my onion rings arrived and I naturally asked for ketchup but the friendly waitress said it was already seasoned and yup there was no need to overwhelm the tasty flavor with ketchup. The waitress was friendly and the owner/chef super kind. I think your demeanor will reflect on how you are treated as we are all human trying to get by in life. I am a fan and will be back!

Well-done burgers pre-mixed with chopped grilled onions and plenty of salt makes this place good for an occasional meal but not a regular visit. Almost«soup nazi» like attitude toward not having any ketchup, mustard, or mayo in the house… makes the fries unpalatable. I often enjoy fries without ketchup, but the ones here practically demand it. Most people will also need some sauce on the burger to round out the saltiness of the meat as well, but that’s not an option here. This probably explains why the avocado burger is the most popular. In short, not a lot of food science being applied here. Better burger places within a short walking distance.
