This is one of the main shopping centers in Odaiba. They offer amusement parks, shopping restaurants, and of course the Takoyaki Museum! It’s basically a shopping street with lots of cartoon octopus’s looking at you with the strange eye! I like this shopping center as it’s not something you’ll see in the states and has a lot of heart and soul. Most of the locations in this mall are not free, but a lot still is. I wouldn’t say this is the best location to shop in Odaiba, but it sure makes for a weird experience. Give it a shot, even if you don’t spend a lot of time here.

This is one of the three major shopping complexes in Odaiba. Things of note are the Legoland Center, Joypolis, and the takoyaki museum. The Legoland Center, Joypolis(gaming center), and another museum here aren’t free though. In addition, the takoyaki museum isn’t a museum, but a place where there are lots of octopus ball vendors.

Tourist trap. This is not the place to come for anything other than charging your phone or camera battery pack when you need it. Most of the people here do know some English, but you are surrounded by foreigners or business men who work in the area. The prices are higher than the usual, and on top of that you don’t want to buy these items created just for tourists. If you want cheesy t shirts with English words saying ODAIBA or something along the lines of fake Japanese imitations, here is the place to be. This is just the impression I get. You can come see it for yourselves, perhaps I am missing something…

Decks is another one of the shopping complexes that lines the Odaiba Water Front and has many stores, restaurants and theme parks. It houses, Joypolis(renovated in 2012) Legoland, Madam Tussauds and a trick art museum. I think you can spend a full day in Odaiba and not get bored. Decks and Aqua City are the malls that I end up shopping most at, but Decks is most fun because it has the delicious and famous Bills, and the best entertainment/amusement complex of Joypolis. It’s a great place to come with friends, make it a date night, or even come with the family. Kids(from every age) can have fun at Lego Land to Joypolis. Definitely plan to spend a few hours at this mall!
