Disclaimer: I am not a vegetarian. I usually try to consume as much animal products as possible as part of a high protein diet. So I was walking in Omotesando on my way to get a burger. I was torn though, as my diet the previous day had been exceptionally poor. As I walked along, thinking I should try to get something healthy(a chicken sandwich perhaps… maybe they have that at my destination), I stumbled across Citron. It looked nice and they had a menu. I could tell they had salads. Those are healthy. At his point, the health conscious side of me won, and with the goading of the French staff(judging by their accents and my fading memory of 4 years of high school French classes) urging me to come on in, I decided to try something new. At first, I was a little disappointed to find it was vegetarian, but I decided to make the most of it and ordered a salad and moussaka. I have to say, I was pleasantly surprised, the salad was really good, all of it really fresh and tasty. The moussaka was also really good. I demolished it. I would definitely recommend this place to a vegetarian, someone looking for a healthy meal or if you want to try something new. In the meanwhile though, you’ll have to get your meat fix somewhere else.
