I stayed here for 4 nights as a solo traveler this past weekend. I love this place! It is so relaxing, clean, and the staff are super friendly and helpful. It is within walking distance to the subway station, Akasaka-Mitsuke, and this made traveling easily accessible as taxis are ridiculously expensive. The only reason that I didn’t give 5 stars is because the sleeping area can be either good or bad depending on the respect factor people have that night. One night I had to complain to the front desk that someone had their phones ringing, and talking very loudly although this is against the rules on the sleeping floors. The front desk immediately came, and solved the problem which was awesome of them! All in all, great stay!

Sorry, fellas, but Centurion Cabin & Spa is WOMENONLY! I had very low expectations for this place because I booked this cabin and spa the night before I flew out to Tokyo! It wasn’t my first choice, but all the hostels were booked and hotels in Tokyo are quite pricey. Thank GOODNESS they still had a few beds left to book! – ABOUT – I paid roughly $ 30/night via Expedia. You can also book through ! Granted, Centurion owns a few large hotels in the Akasaka area, which is why this dormitory/capsule-like is on the nicer end. In comparison to a 3-star hotel I booked in Japan, Centurion Cabin & Spa is WAYYY more awesome than that hotel. Since this cabin and spa is women only, it’s very clean, crisp and orients around the needs of women. It’s a 4-minute walk to Akasaka station and Akasaka Mitsuke Station. It’s roughly a 10-minute ride to Shibuya station! Not too far from the central area. I would absolutely book here again, even though it is a little further off from the actual center of Tokyo. This place has 5 floors, based on if you have a standard, deluxe or superior cabin will place you on the different floors. The 3rd floor is a lounge area, which is super awesome. They have a powder room, dressing room and a lounge area where you can dip your feet into heated beads to rest your feet. Very relaxing. There is also a TV and free tea, hot water and everything you need to wind down. – SERVICE/MISC – You walk in and you’re greeted by the front desk. The staff do not know much English, but are very patient and will find every way to accommodate to your needs. There are lockers where you keep your shoes at the entrance. You must take your shoes off at the entry of the front desk. Shoes are not permitted on every floor of the building; socks, slippers or bare feet only. The front desk keeps your shoe key and they give you a personal locker key(REFERTOPICTURE) where you can store your belongings. Within this personal locker, there is a bag that contains: pajama set, towel, toothbrush/toothpaste, hair tie and more. – CABIN&SPA – — CABIN: There are about 30 – 35 beds on the 5th floor, where the standard cabins are located. The beds are surprisingly spacious, I am 5’4″ in height and I still had an entire foot left of space at the end of the bed. The bed is very wide, however the mattress is quite stiff. You get a nice and clean pillow and comforter. They provide a mounted flat screen TV at the end of the bed AND an iPad for personal use. HOWAWESOME?! They have a all-in-one charger that has iPhone 4÷5÷6 chargers, micro USB outlet and more. For the most part, people are very courteous and respectful within the dormitory area. Try to stay quiet during sleeping hours or make as little noise as possible. There are times where people do talk quietly on the phone or could possibly snore and keep you up. Just a few factors to consider for any dormitory-like setting. — SPA: There are no individual showers, rather there is a onsen(public bath). Amenities are provided to you: lotion, make-up remover, face wash, body soap, and shampoo. The make-up remover is such a plus, works very well! Their onsen bath is calming and a great way to de-stress at the end of the night. TIP #1: Rent a Pocket Wifi for 500 yen/day(about $ 4/day). They require a 1000 yen deposit for using the Pocket Wifi, but you get that back when you return it. Helped me easily navigate through the city. TIP #2: Hungry in the middle of the night? Don’t want to walk over to Family Mart a few blocks down? Purchase their variety of cup noodles for 200 yen/cup. TIP #3: Is your body feeling tense and can’t sleep? Use the massage chair in the lounge for 100 yen/10-minutes.
