Blue bottle occupies a really nice space on he upper floor of a small building on a quiet street in Omotesando. There are plenty of seats in this nicely designed space and even some outdoor seats on a balcony. The tranquil feel is however a bit disturbed by the staff who often seem a bit stressed by the large number of people visiting. They offer their own roasted coffee and it is possible to select from different beans as well as different methods of brewing. The coffee does not seem to keep the same level as in the US and while it is still pretty good I had a few cups here that were not really great while others have been very good. The service is however consistently slow so expect to wait at lest 15 – 20 minutes for coffee and even more if you order food.

If I miss my second hometown or want to have better coffee in low price, I go this café.

I fell in love with Blue Bottle in Los Angeles. one of my favorite coffee places, since I like their simple interior design and top notch coffee(caring about their sources & high quality standards). so I felt the urge to visit their location in Omotesando Hills. very friendly staff, explaining the menu(in English). prices were as expected on the higher end. I didn’t really like their interior design, but I don’t know if the other locations would reach up more to my standard. the wait was pretty long, since it was busy(Saturday morning). but I got to talk with the store manager while waiting and watched the baristas preparing coffee. all in all: great experience and I’d come back. no wifi– bring a book or a friend.

I love it here. Everyone is friendly, and it’s got an enjoyable and comfortable atmosphere. I’ve quickly become a regular here.

I believe they may use the same beans as the State side chain but I believe they roast them in a garbage dump furnace for too long. After drinking coffee in Seattle and California I have not experienced a poorly roasted coffee like this since my last visit to Charbucks. The scenery and lay out is nice but the coffee is garbage. It is a party foul but I need cream to save my Americano…

This is Blue Bottle, and it’s in Aoyama, what can possibly go wrong? I actually find their pastries and other food items taste superior to the ones in San Francisco. I always go early so I don’t have to wait too long, so no complain for long lines for me.

Good quality coffee, but with a price and line. I’m happy to have SF style coffee in Tokyo, but nothing tops Philz. That said, there are great little shops opening all over Japan now too, so this isn’t going to be the kill shot it might have once been. It’s a great space they developed in Aoyama. Just up the secret stairs you’ll find a large open room and even a balcony.

I love Blue Bottle and the New Orleans coffee, but I can’t give it the 5 stars because they don’t have soy milk! Sad sad sad day. We happened to walk through omotesando on their opening day. I saw a biker go by with a blue bottle bag and then saw a small sign taped on a street pole half a block down. The line went all the way to the Main Street, but we waited only 15 minutes when we were told it would take up to 40 minutes. The coffee shop is located down a small street with lots of other cafes and bakeries. Blue bottle is located on the second floor of the building and has a lot of seating. Of the 3 times I’ve been there, there are never any seats. Good luck finding a place to sit. I hope the Tokyo locations choose to have other choices of milk — soy, almond, coconut, or anything else. It’s kind of a pain to bring my own soy milk for my New Orleans coffee. I know. It sounds desperate but I really love my Blue Bottle coffee!

Really was not delicious. And service is so-so… Waiting times only a few minutes. Japanese love of fashion things. Yes. Only trend. But, please thinking. Usually you will want to wait crazy long time in Japan if it nice. Their coffee brewed of person terrible. Not’m professional, part-timers. Spoil the precious coffee beans… No way…

Waited only for 20mins. It worked to come here immediately after opening. First, I was asked to make a line along Aoyama Street, so I guess you come here via Aoyama street once you get Omotrsando Sta.
