This quaint shop has western style Japanese food, like hamburger steak, omelet rice, etc. I was hungry late at night so I walked here to get dinner to go. I got the hamburger steak and rice for ¥1200. The portion sizes were so cute and compact but I felt very full afterwards. I love Japan. I thought the meal tasted pretty good. The sauce was good. It tasted a bit Asian still. I loved how yummy Japanese rice is and I thought it paired nicely with the meat. They also took my credit card with no hassle.

Azabu Shokudo is definitely the place all about Omu-rice. Omu-rice meant rice covered with Omlet. It is one of the most popular meals in «Yoshoku», western-influenced Japanese dishes. Cook rice with ketchup and put an egg omlet on the rice. Pour source on it. That’s it. There’s some popular restaurant serving Omu-rice in Tokyo, and I tried here, Azabu Shokudo. Their style is very traditional and simple, standard. The Omu-rice looks really beautiful as well as it tastes. The owners are really nice couple, that makes this place very cozy. If you live in Tokyo but haven’t try Omu-rice yet, I’m sure it’s worth to try. Hopefully you will love it like typical Japanese kids!
