This place was my jam while I was in Tokyo. People told me that I’d be using 7-Eleven a lot, but I underestimated just how many times I actually came here in the course of a week. It was located right below my hotel, so a quick walk over is all it took to get my snack on! Just a few of the things I picked up here: Money — Used the ATM here twice. Super quick and safe. The ATM is located behind the baked goods. Baked goods — a ton. From doughnuts to cakes I literally had dessert here every night. Our favorite was a danish type thing with whipped cream on top. It was delicious. Doughnuts were super solid too. Gyoza — Now in the US I’d probably never eat the food at 7-Eleven but on one faithful night I was starving and decided to get the prepackaged gyoza here. WHOA! They warmed it up in the microwave for me and by the time I got to the hotel is was still warm. DELICIOUS. I’m not ashamed to admit I probably got these 3 more times. Snacks — Got some snacks here as well including my first experience with the cheesecake Kit-Kat! Tea/Coffee — They have some prepackaged Royal Milk Teas that I got almost every morning before we hopped on the subway. I also tried the Latte — really good. They come with a sharp straw and you poke the top to sip the goodness in the plastic cup. Like an adult Capri Sun. The staff here was always so nice. They always greet you when you walk in, and made an effort to speak English. And they are also constantly stocking the shelves. The cooked food seemed to change from day to day — so I saw something new almost every day. I didn’t see any Slurpees — but this was the BEST7-Eleven I’ve ever been to.
