A few weeks ago, we went to the Tokyo Food Festival in Odaiba and despite being insanely full from visiting multiple booths, we saw meatballs at the Spain Club tent. There were also samples of famous cured hams. While the ham was great, I fell in love with the meatballs. I took a pamphlet and we picked one of the six Spain Club options. After eating at Iberico, I can’t say that I picked the wrong Spain Club, just that I didn’t pick the one with the meatballs(that’s Tsukishima Spain Club, in case you’re wondering). Instead, we explored pork at Iberico and it was worth the guessing game. First, my boyfriend is not a fan of pork, but we both loved every dish. We ordered the #1 ham, like a fancy and firm prosciutto without the fat. Really good. We ordered some light bites like the cheese platter and a salad. Then we decided to order off the meat options and decided on roast and cheek. Wow. Cheek tasted like beef and the roast was so flavorful! Each meat plate(only 1200¥) came with a tangy slaw that complimented the meat and a cream sauce to pour over. The portions were tapas sizes, but perfect for us. We ordered dessert(sorbet) and a bottle of wine and the meal was only 12000¥. Nice date! The restaurant is nicely decorated. We thought the American techno music was a bit out of place, but no big deal. The staff was super warm and helpful even with our language barrier. I definitely recommend! Now time to reserve another Spain Club dinner date. I want meatballs.
