Recently I have had a slight obsession with the Netflix show«Terrace House,» so when we decided to go to Enoshima to see the lights on the island, I convinced the BF to go to the same restaurant two people went on for a date, Diego by the River. While they weren’t accepting any more reservations when we called, it was only about a ten minute wait before we were seated. Due to the cold weather, only the indoor seating was available. I imagine the outdoor seating must be nice in warmer weather. The first drink I got was called a Shrub, which was their original cocktail. It had rum, vanilla, and(supposedly) fruit, though the picture on the menu and the actual drink looked nothing alike. My second drink, mango-flavored beer, fared much better. The dishes weren’t bad. Unfortunately, the shirasu pizza was sold out, which was a disappointment, but I enjoyed the other things we ordered, such as chili bean spaghetti, cheese fries, and chocolate banana tart. The tart was more like a cream pie, but I would say the dessert itself made it worth going to the restaurant. If I didn’t have this weird quest to go to all the restaurant the cast on the show goes to, I probably wouldn’t have thought to try this restaurant, but I’m glad I did. It has a very cute layout, the food was good(especially the dessert), and it isn’t too far from the station. It’s a nice place to eat after a nice Enoshima date.
