My Japanese is not the best, but I gather that the thin, curly ramen noodles are handmade in-house, and it’s fairly affordable. Shoyu ramen is 650¥, and shio and miso ramen are 700¥. No matter which one you order, it will come with menma(bamboo shoot), negi(scallions), one slice of yakibuta(grilled pork), a piece of nori(dried seaweed), and sprouts. You can add your choice of toppings, such as soft boiled egg(100¥), winter seasonal kimchi(100¥), or bone-in grilled pork(350¥), among other options. The atmosphere is very traditionally Japanese. It also seems to be frozen in time: I’ve visited twice in two years, and it hasn’t changed a bit. I’ll have another bowl of ramen here whenever I come to visit my friend who lives near Hirai Station.
