My last night in Tokyo was coincidentally a Sunday night where many of the whisky bars I had googled all were closed. This place was an absolute treasure to find, a really short walk from Ginza Station via exit A13. Smoking is allowed indoors, there is a HUGE selection of whisky to choose from, staff are polite and knowledgeable and speak some English too, but most of all no dress code(my friend was in shorts). Absolutely will recommend anybody who is a whisky fan to come here and will definitely return again!(One thing was that they didn’t have the Hakushu Bourbon Barrel which was what my friend was searching for. So that is why I gave 4 stars instead of 5 stars)

Great place! Be in a Whiskey mood. The staff was very friendly and knowledgable. I’m just out for a walk in Ginza and Unilocaled it. It probably would get the fifth star if I was out with friends. Wanted to have something lighter to start ant the Sonic did not disappoint. Will enjoy a Yamazaki next.

I really enjoyed drinking at Hibiya Bar Whisky-S. The ambience is dark and classic. The menu, available in both English and Japanese, is a beautifully printed and informative booklet that introduces whiskeys from around the world. Prices are reasonable. We paid ¥2600 for 4 drinks, including highballs and straight whiskey. The ice cubes all looked cut by hand. People were smoking inside, but the smoke didn’t drift my way thanks to the good ventilation.
