This a nice onsen, easy to get to from Tokyo and not at all touristy. Some points — They changed ownership, previously known as Jindaiji Yukari onsen which is the label on google map as well as here on Unilocal.Currently its Yumori no Sato. — Your Japanese friends may not believe you if you tell them there is an onsen in Chofu. They may ‘explain’ to you that it’s actually a supersento. Only by showing them the photos posted here will they believe you that it is actually a real onsen. I speak from repeated experience. — This is a pretty full-featured place. There is a sauna room, indoor pool, and 5 outdoor pools. One of the pools has an electro-stimulation area. — Massage services available for extra charge. — In addition to the snack area on first floor mentioned in first review, there is a full restaurant upstairs. Also on second floor is a bigger tatami room for you to take a nap. — Outside of the first floor snack area, there is a co-ed foot bath and outdoor seating. — Basic price includes towel, if you want a yukata to lounge in they are available.

Great atmosphere. First time at an onsen so no previous experience for comparison, but the staff is friendly and the onsen was clean and the entire experience was fantastic. They have black water onsens, outside and inside onsens and tubs you can soak in. There is also an ice pool. In the tatami room, you can order small refreshments or just sit and rest. There are also spa things you can do for an extra charge.
