This restaurant is an all-smoking-seat establishment. Ventilation is mediocre if that bothers you. Staff were quite busy and service was a bit slow but still attentive when it appeared. The Japanese menu features a children’s menu with several options, which is not something I see too often. Not that I had kids in attendance but it caught the eye, notably since this was a smoke filled joint marketing itself as a drinking establishment. Interesting place for Junior. Menu was predominantly Chinese with southeast Asian influences. Couldn’t tell if they were catering to the local taste or just didn’t want to pick a singular focus. Ordered one of the noodle dishes that was a riff of dandan noodles. It was a decent nutty soup with a mild and delayed heat to it. The chopped onion added to that although was a bit out of balance. The noodles were decent and cooked to the proper firmness. Overall an average offering. Some of the set menus the other diners were enjoying looked like they may have played more to the strengths of the restaurant. Maybe worth a second visit but I won’t go out of my way.
