A forest in the middle of office district. Artificial nature. This forest looks natural, but all the trees were planted by human. It is sort of like traditional Japanese garden, but using natural trees instead of pine trees you see in Japanese gardens. If you did not know the history, you would have thought that there was a patch of an untouched nature in the middle of Tokyo. Why go through the trouble of creating nature? Economical reason is to brand the shopping and restaurant facility called«OOTEMORI» in B1 and B2 of this forest. Social reason is to give people working in Marunouchi office area feeling of peace. Note that this is NOT a destination spot. Do not go out of your way to visit this forest. Total time spent here will be 5 minutes. This is NOT really so called a «park». There are no picnic tables or playground. It is not operated by the city; it is a private property. You cannot even go inside the forest. You can walk next to it on the sidewalk and enjoy the view. I give them 5 stars because it is really cool to have a «real» forest in the jungle of steel buildings. TIP: One way you could enjoy this forest is to dine at The Café by Aman Tokyo.
