A sweets terrine specialty takeout shop. Sweet terrine? What is that? Terrine is French food that is like a pâté, but made with meat and served cold. At Noake, all their terrine is sweet. No meat products here. It is basically a pound cake, but lot heavier and richer. It is very similar to Starbuck’s Coffee & Espresso Cake — but much more delicious. So the biggest beef I have with Noake is that their terrine by slice is expensive. It runs around 400 to 700 Yen per slice. However, when I think about buying the entire batch for 2000 to 3000 Yen, then it feels more manageable. RECOMMENDATION: Try their chestnut or chocolate terrine. They are super delicious. I suggest you get a slice, then get a cup of coffee next door at Obscura Coffee Roasters, and enjoy it outside. There are plenty of places you can sit. This mAAch Ecute complex is awesome. I love the deign of the building. If you never been here before, you have to check it out.
