One of the best niku-udon shops in Iidabashi but the shop is not for the faint-hearted. This hole-in-a-wall shop doesn’t exactly have the best ventilation so the steam from boiling of the udon just stays pretty much in the shop and it can get a little muggy. Looking clean isn’t really their priority either but thank god for their yummy niku-udon! This is a massive bowl of hot udon in delicious broth filled with an overflow of thinly sliced pork and onions. I can’t never say no to it and would always want to come after a crazy night out to sip their yummy broth and slurp some udon. It’s just so comforting. The perfect bowl on a cold winter’s day. And last but not least, their infamous cat! We just like to think it’s called Maki from the shop name, Makino-ua(meaning Maki’s home). Maki is the shop’s face as it’s either lying outside the shop or curled up next to a box by the bench where the customer’s are waiting to be seated. She’s used to us and don’t likes to be touched so she’ll usually walked away slowly to lie around somewhere else. On cold days, you’ll find Maki around the block lying and stretching in areas with the sun.
