Why 5-stars for an eyeglass shop? Easy. First the frames and styles here are top notch quality for the money you pay. Jin’s is actually the name of the store and it’s pronounced Jin’s as well so not sure why this is called jinzu. They are popular for their blue-light eliminating glasses. If you don’t know what that is, it’s basically computer glasses. It helps cut the glare and harmful blue-light that damage your eyes that computer monitors and TV’s give off. If you’ve ever stared at a computer everyday then you’ll know what i mean… headaches? Eyes sore? That’s because of the blue-light. Buying a pair helps cut that blue-light saving yourself a headache and the longevity of your eyes. The other thing that’s so marvelous here? If you need a prescription, there’s no need to go to an eye doctor. Bring in your prescription glasses or… they can give you an eye exam on site. Yup, it’s legit too, they have these state of the art machines that can measure your vision or read the prescription of your current glasses. All you need to do is tell them you want a particular frame and you want to get them as a prescription glasses. They’ll give you the tests and measurements from the equipment on site and have your glasses ready in 30 minutes. This isn’t the hospital or a Lens Crafters here where you’ll need to wait a few days or hours to pick up your glasses. The best part? The testing is free and all you need to pay for is the frames and the lenses. Know what else is awesome? The price. I got brand new custom prescription glasses for less than $ 70 American dollars and they make me look smart and elevated my coolness factor 10-fold…which is a lot because I’m nowhere near that cool. Even here with health insurance I pay hundred’s of dollars for custom glasses for frames I’m so-so with. Sure it may seem like less but you don’t realize your co-pay is only a portion of what you’re actually paying monthly. If you require glasses or even if you don’t, you should make a stop here and get some computer glasses that are light, comfortable and if you’re like me, Asian, a size that fits you perfectly. Once you are given the glasses they even adjust it for you to make sure your big noggin’ fits the glasses to a T.
