A nice little whiskey bar steps from Honzoman’s exit 5. The bar is very small, with about 5 seats at the bar and two small tables. They have a(pretty) full bar if you want mixed drinks, and they have beer on draft(Asahi only — 700¥) but the main draw is their whiskey collection. While not the most extensive, they have a good variety that will please almost any pallet. There is Japanese(Hibiki, Yamazaki), Scotch(Lagavulin, Cragganmore) and American(Jack Daniels, Bookers, Jim Beam) with an average price between 800¥ and 1200¥. The bartender was fairly knowledgeable, but I wouldn’t call him an expert. He knew more about the Japanese whiskies and their companies and regions, which was helpful to someone like me who knows a bit about scotch and American whiskey, but is a novice when it comes to Japanese whiskey. The bartender was very engaging and interested in out opinions on the whiskey, but didn’t speak much English, also note there is no English menu, but with the bottles on display it isn’t too hard to order.
