I will never forget finding this place after visiting temples and cemetery. The soba noodles w sesame so sublime. A picture speaks 1000 words. Not only was the actual moment caught I looked up and a nice older Japanese m an was watching me intensely whist giving me a thumb-up. To top the moment off I slurped a bit(to be polite) and a droplet of sesame sauce somehow splashed past my glasses and got into my eye. Even that was good. The true noodle experience…

This place was AMAZING. I didn’t know what to expect when I first sat down, but I was blown away. I had never tried tsukemen before this place and I want to say that this was one of my favorite meals during my time in Japan. The flavors were balanced and just melded well together. I ordered a medium size, which turned out to be huge, and also the cold style. The noodles were chewy and the pork belly was fat and melted in my mouth. Honestly, the noodle dish itself was great, but also the staff at this restaurant was super helpful and patient as well. I’m back at home now and miss it! Until next time I travel to Tokyo.

I was not a fan of tsukemen until I ate it here. The soup was decent, which is from torigara. My favorite. Noodles are perfect. The entertaining thing is that super hot stone, to warm up soup after eating a while. I used to live nearby, but no longer. I will come back next time I’ll be in the area.

My girlfriend doesn’t like this kind of ramen(she is more an ichiran junkie).but I like this dip-into soup idea more. especially the fish soup!

I don’t think I’ve ever had better ramen! The noodles are fantastically chewy and the broth was delicious! Also the bonito soup you add at the end of the meal was divine! I wish I could get this quality in the states, but alas, I cannot. That’s probably why I’ll go back again tonight!

One of my favorite spots while we were in Japan! Tsukemen has to be my favorite type of ramen EVA. I loved the fat chewy noodles, the fatty pieces of pork belly, the soft boiled egg and the thick dipping sauce… well, I guess I love EVERYTHING about it! You come in – put your money in and order what you want from the machine — then the staff comes and asks if you want small, medium or large size noodles(same price) — then he brings the good stuff over with a cute cartoon guide on how you are supposed to eat it. It’s so freakin’ good, I tell ya. My husband got the spicy version of the tsukemen and it was even better! Definitely a must try in Japan and on my list of one of the best cheap eats!

This was really good. First time in Japan so there was a little learning to do. When you walk in to the right is a small machine where you order and pay. It’ll print out a ticket for every item you order. Take the tickets and the staff will show you to a seat. As said on the other review, they are very helpful. The food, oh man the food. So good. Other than that nothing else to say. Excellent food. Awesome service. Priced very fair.

This place is so boss we went 4 times during our 9 days in Tokyo. We’re total ramen junkies so we ate ramen multiple times a day, and everyone was always game for Tetsu at the end of the night. The guys are really nice and will help you if you needed it. Get the dipping ramen for sure. If you get cold noodles, make sure to ask for a stone to put in your broth as it gets cold. Once your noodles are finished has broth from the thermos on the counter to your bowl and drink it up(be careful of the hot stone). The whole experience is awesome.
