Most of the local train stations are nothing to ooh and ahh about. However, they do get you from point A to B smoothly and they are typically on time. Unless, that is if the workers decide to go on strike for the day. Then you’d better have a backup plan. This station has a bookstore and a small store where you can buy lottery tickets, cards, small trinkets, and snacks. There’s also a combination eatery with a sandwich shop and a McDonalds inside. One word of warning… Many of the stations charge for you to enter the bathroom. This one is .50euro. Others are 1euro. You can buy your tickets ahead of time at the little convenient stores around town or at the machines at the station. I prefer the station machines because they have English and are less confusing. Taking trains throughout Italy is a breeze and if you know what you are doing it’s pretty cheap. So, get on a train and go see something interesting.
