This was quite a treat especially after my hike from Monterosso. But just like other reviewers, I felt that it was«decent.» I tried the basil gelato and that was… interesting. It looked and tasted like vanilla gelato blended with basil, as I saw actual grains of basil. The peach gelato was refreshing and creamy, but not dense enough. At least it didn’t taste artificial? I can’t really complain though, €$ 2.50 for 2 scoops is a pretty good deal. It seems to me that the price varies depending on which season you go.

Probably not our favorite gelato as a whole but it filled our need for gelato mid point in the hike. I had basil and strawberry – basil was interesting! Very«vanilla-y» with bits of basil in it. Friend had lemon and passion fruit and that was out of this world good – lemon was not our favorite here. Over all decent gelato for the price(seems to be the same everywhere)

Great treat after a long hike, but found the gelato to me too creamy. However after a long hike, I would have this again in a heartbeat, but not our favorite.

Decent ice cream here. You might miss it if you are specifically looking for it because the name outside is different. I went for ananas, melone and a milky scoop(cannot remember the name for this one). The melone unfortunately just tasted like a really fake flavour, the Ananas and Milky scoop were really good though. If it’s a nice day why not take your dessert through the nearby tunnel onto the beach that’s right there!

Another local spot recommended by Rick Steves in his Cinque Terre guide. Typically, I’m happy with his recommendations, but this one fell a little short. I got three scoops in waffle cone… Cioccolatto, bacio(chocolate hazelnut), and pistachio. Gelato was very good, each was flavourful and tasted just like the flavour claimed it would. Scoops were a bit on the small side for € 4& the cone was unfortunately stale. The woman at the counter wasn’t super friendly, but we were only in there for a few minutes, so oh well. Chris got ananas(pineapple), furia de latte(milk) and melone(melon). Melon wasn’t very good. It tasted very artificial, but on the opposite side of things, the pineapple was really nice, very fresh tasting. Milk was nice and tasted like milk, interestingly. We took our cones around the corner, under the grotto entrance and to the beach to eat on a boulder while enjoying the scenery. This was perfect for the nice sunny day we had. Bonus tip: You can find sea glass here on the beach.
