Wonderful neighborhood restaurant! We loved the pizzas and risotto! Excellent first dining experience in Venezia!

What an amazing find for authentic true Venetian charm! I did not have a reservation and was graciously seated in his lovely warm and cozy restaurant. An extensive menu and hard to figure out what to order so I am glad I came with an appetite so I was able to explore more than a few options. The food is truly yummy and I may have to come back before I leave!

Had dinner here based on Unilocal reviews and it was fantastic. Pizza was the best we had in italy so far. Restaurant was slightly off the beaten path so was nice to get away from a large tourist scene. Restaurant staff was very attentive yet let us done at a leisurely pace. Would very much recommend this restaurant to couples and families visiting venice.

The best food in Venice we had, the price is also reasonable, no cover or service fee, the place is close to St. Marco, easy to find, the cooking style is Chinese and Italian.

Fantastic place! The food was delicious! We tried the house appetizers and the clam linguine. The owner was super nice and recommended a really nice bottle of wine. At first we were nervous because the bottle wasn’t on the menu and the waitress couldn’t communicate the price. We were just going to accept the fact that we had to pay a lot(when in Rome I guess). Turns out everything was very reasonably priced and the wine was only 38. The owner was on top of it! We loved everything about this place: the service, the food, and the atmosphere! They also give you starter and dessert cocktails on the house.

One out of six dishes was good(bass). The rest were below average(risotto, sea food). We reserved a place but were sit inside(no need to reserve a place there). Although the owner was trying his best to make us feel better it was simply not good overall.

I stumbled upon this restaurant wandering around the twisting streets of Venice. Happy I did! They selected a very nice drink to start me off-on the house! Then I choose the vegetariano option of 3 courses. First curse was vegetable app(antipasti). Delicious-olives, peppers, artichoke a’plenty in a light pool of olive oil which I dipped my warm bread into happily :) next was mushroom gnocchi-I loved the mushroom sauce but gnocchi wasn’t that flavorful but it did have great texture. So not bad just not my favorite dish. I then had an eggplant for the 3rd course, yum! ***portions are large so I didn’t finish any of these so share if you have someone with you :) Waiters were very good and the manager was also making rounds to the tables which was very nice. When I got my check I received yet another surprise of Italian cookies :) it made my day, what a fantastic gesture!

Best meal so far in Italy. We ordered the day fish, the fish soup and spaghetti. The fish soup was actually seafood soup which, by the way, it was the beat seafood Ive had. The gelatto was just okay and the panna cotta was spectacular! Don’t forget to have the lemonchello! Highly recommend this place.

Echoing the posts that found this restaurant superior, we had a terrific meal. I ordered the fried calamari and prawns, which were light and tender. Unlike a previous negative post, it was not greasy or in any way unappealing. I ordered it a la carte, with a contorno of a mixed salad(fresh frisée, radicchio, carrots and tomatoes) served with a bottle of evoo and one of balsamic vinegar to «roll-your-own» dressing. My dining companion ordered from a fixed price menu that included a few choices. She chose seafood lasagna as a primo, a fried seafood mixed plate that included the same calamari that was on my dish and tiny anchovies replacing the prawns along with a contorno of spinach, peas, shallots and prosciutto. Lastly included was a panna cotta for dessert(delicious). Her meal was 24 €, while mine was 26.50 €. Go figure. They do not have wine by the glass, and my companion did not want wine(I don’t get it either) but they did sell cute half bottles of a local wine with a «homemade» label that stated that is was bottled especially for the restaurant at a reasonable price. The restaurant was inland from the crush of St Marks square, on a dead end street that has a small canal beside it, where gondoliers pass by. It was easily located by my map app, and there was a helpful sign right when we needed it. They have a lovely patio, but all of the tables for two were all occupied, so we ate inside the restaurant, which was fine too. Service was friendly but not smothering. Great spot!

Please note that this is review for Antics Osteria Ai Tre Leoni. We walked around several times to find the place but it seems that the place is changed the ownership. My sea bass was ok while pizza was pretty good. Pasta and seafoods are little more expensive. Make sure you ask pizza menu and today’s special. Today’s special was very reasonable considering it is Venice.

After a very disappointing lunch and our first choice of dinner restaurant requiring a reservation, we Unilocaled for the closest Italian place that served pasta carbonara. I am SO glad the first place was unavailable! We spent 12 days touring Europe, sampling pizza and pasta in places including Florence and Naples, but our meal here was hands down the best of them all! I ordered the spaghetti carbonara and it was the best I’ve ever had. I was surprised to find it had no traditional egg on top, but it certainly didn’t need it and every single bite was fantastic. My husband ordered the Quattro formaggio pizza which featured a few spots of bleu, and it was also outstanding. Compared with our other experiences here in Venice, the service at this restaurant was impeccable. We were greeted and seated promptly, received complimentary Aperol spritzers, and were treated wonderfully. Also, the restaurant does not charge the ridiculous scam of a «service charge» that other tourist traps get away with. If we ever return one day, we will absolutely visit this restaurant again! Thank you so much for the best dining experience!

Great restaurant, ambience and wine list. The lasagne was incredible. Our waiter also recommended the best wine at 60 euro. However, we asked him the best plate to pair with the wine(most expensive, apparently) and he recommended the steak. Worst dinner ever, wouldn’t have paid $ 5 for it. Long story short, steak and shrimp are AWFUL. Wine and lasagna are great. Everything else I would defer to other reviews.

Not only was this the best meal we had in Venice, it was the best meal we had in Italy. We had the baked dory and the seafood crepes. Both were cooked to perfection with an exquisite melding of flavours. The service was attentive, but not hovering. The restaurant provided several nice touches which just put it over the top: the complimentary cocktails upon arrival(even my 3-year-old got juice in a champagne glass!) and the complimentary bag of cookies to take home with us. Both were unexpected delights. We enjoyed those cookies for days and always thought about that lovely restaurant tucked away on a quiet street. I am so glad we stumbled upon it.

Overpriced incredible beautiful place, food was very normal and even desserts were mediocre. Service was excellent/over the top in fact I would only come back here(which I’m not doing) because of the owner Mr. Pino attentions and personalized service.

This restaurant is the execption of Venise, fresh and tasty plates, very cheap menu(24 €) with three large portion, wine also tasty(merlot 13,50 € ½ bottle) pizze also very large and sooo good. Désert tastful. Thank you for this great expérience in Venice, we look forward to come back at the same place in familly !

Antica Sacrestia Restaurant is one of the best restaurant in Venice. The new location is outstanding… the food, ambiance and service gives you the full experience of Venetian dining. Pino, the owner, almost makes you feel welcome and wanting to come back.

Hidden away on a quiet street, the restaurant has a beautiful, tranquil courtyard and restaurant. Serves traditional Venetian dishes. Lots of fish. I had tagliatelle with seafood followed by cuttlefish in black squid ink and polenta. They serve a variety of dishes and also offer about 4 or 5 prix fixe menus. They have pork, chicken, etc and offer a Vegetarian menu also. The restaurant is better than the tourist places. You pay a bit more but it is worth it. A pleasant evening.

Found this restaurant after two days of disappointing dining in Venice. Don’t know why I didn’t consult Unilocal sooner! I would give this place 4.5 stars if available. The only reason I didn’t go with 5 stars is that there could be more variety on the menu, but that’s more on me as I’m not much of a seafood person. The seating is quite tight, so hopefully you’ll be lucky and sit next to another group of friendly folks. We were next to a couple who was on a culinary tour of Italy, so that was reaffirming in our choice. I chose the ravioli in cream sauce, which was delicous! The cream was of a thick consistency — almost like American whipped cream — not that watered-down crap you usually get. The pizza menu looked tempting, and we considered coming back the next night to try something different. Ended up at Vino Vino instead which was equally wonderful.

Best place I have been in Venice. The problem in Venice is that as a tourist you are treated badly. However in this restaurant we felt welcome. There is no escaping a slightly ‘touristy’ atmosphere in Venice, but for an average price restaurant(maybe slightly above average with pizzas between 12.50 and 17.50 euro), it’s the best you’ll get, I think. Best of all is the atmosphere. Romantic, pretty, cosy. I would recommend a reservation though as the restaurant is pretty small. I’ll upload photos. Go here. I recommend it.
